A band that has charted significantly over the past year, in the UK and here in Australia, is The Kings of Leon. We thought we would give you a bit more of a listen and some background regarding what is actually their fourth studio album, Only By the Night, which currently sits at #1 on the ARIA album charts.

We started the show with Dire Straits "Money for Nothing". After last week's show where we accidentally played the de-faggotted version, we thought we better make up for it, and play the version which had the little faggot all back in place!

Also Lady Gaga is #1 with "Poker Face" this week. With here new Single "Eh Eh" also debuting on the charts at #38.

Program Highlights for Tuesday 6th January, 2009

Well, it's been a very busy time and while we've managed to get a show together each week, the blog has been let slip for a couple of weeks. For that we apologise. Remember, if there is ever anything you want to know about the tracks we play, just email us at fourplay@joy.org.au.

We opened the show tonight with Vandalizym's "Never say Never".

Then stepped straight back to 1985. The year "We are the world" was recorded by "USA for Africa", Billy Joel married Christie Brinkley, AM Stereo broadcasting started in Australia, and Ray Martin took over from Mike Walsh as host of the midday variety program on Channel Nine.
